Drone Strike Victims To Give Testimony In The US Congress

FFR arranged for, and prepared the victims of drone strikes to appear before the US Congress on 29th October 2013 to personally testify on drone strikes killing their families and urge the US government to stop killing civilians with weaponized unmanned aerial vehicles. FFR’s client was Rafiq ur Rehman, a primary school teacher in Pakistan’s beleaguered Waziristan province. In one strike in October 2012, not only were his three young children, aged five to 13, injured, but his 67-year-old mother was killed. This was the first time such a testimony was recorded.
