As part of its legal actions and campaign against drones, FFR remains extremely active in local and international media. FFR has taken part in several documentaries on drones by both CNN and Mr. Robert Greenwald and introduced several drone victims to the renowed German journalist for Time magazine, Mr. Wolfgang Baur. In a two week trip in March 2013, Shahzad Akbar participated in a documentary in Germany highlighting the injustices of drones. In November 2012, FFR worked with Robert Greenwald, American filmmaker and political activist for the documentary film, Unmanned, America’s Drone Wars, who was struck most by the stories told by children introduced by FFR who had experienced a U.S. drone strike firsthand. The video names some of the children who perished in these strikes, and pointed out the obfuscation tactics of American officials who would not own up to the significant amount of civilian casualties that have occurred due to a legally- and morally-dubious policy.
In April 2012, FFR worked with the German journalist, Wolfgung Bauer and introduced him to many drone strike victims who were comprehensively interviewed and their stories recorded to get across to a Western audience.
